On the 20th May Get Cycling came to school and showed us lots of different bikes here is what we got up to.
One potato, two potato...!
Pupils in green class enjoyed exploring compost to plant our potatoes.
We also enjoyed engaging in the "Rainbow Fish story using multi-sensory props- puppets , sounds of the sea, lights and different tactile materials.
We have also have been exploring “The Gruffalo” story for World book Day. We listened to the story every day and we made a giant Gruffalo through using bubble wrap.
In cookery we have been looking at all the ingredients we need for pancakes like Jam, syrup, oranges and lemons.
This inter-linked with our sensory art where we explored jelly paint, angel whip, bubble wrap pineapples and a variety of textures to make our design for our pancake.
Our theme for this term has been Fruit which interlinks with the sense: - Touch.
We used the Bag Book multi-sensory story “The Seed”. We explored apples, watermelons, oranges, strawberries, Pineapples, papaya and bananas.
In our sensory baking we have explored the ingredients to make Banana Loaf, Pineapple upside down muffins, Mandarin Tart, and Apple Crumble.
