The child as a communicator remains central to all our core values at Heatherwood School. Every effort is made to provide them with the skills and tools to make their ideas and wishes known. Heatherwood School Council represents the school learning community via representatives from different areas of school thus providing each and every learner with the opportunity to be involved in the decision making process in order to benefit everyone. The values of honesty, openness and fairness are integral to the council’s remit.

Here are the minutes from the latest School council meeting Held on Wednesday 6th March.
The meeting was based around the details for the upcoming Comic Relief Day fundraising Event. It also linked to many Numeracy activities that were organised throughout school promoting the use of Number as a concept.
The two key activities were the money trail fundraiser where classes counted their donations and made a long line of all the coins collected. Secondly, we had a Comical Cake Competition which was judged by our kitchen staff. Here are some photos of the day and the fun we had.
